Internet Awareness

This page describes specifically what data is collected from you as you browse and/or submit forms (i.e. the petition).

When browsing... information such as what pages you visit, how many times you have visited the site, and at what times of the day and week is collected.  This data is in no way associated with your unique computer, as it is simply used for statistical purposes.

When submitting a form... both visible and "hidden" data is collected.  Visible information is the information you manually enter such as your name, e-mail address, phone numbers, etc., where "hidden" information is classified as being your computer's IP (internet protocol) address, time and date of submission, operating system, and browser.  Your computer's unique IP address is collected only for the purpose of identifying that the computer that submitted the form is not repeatedly submitting other petitions under one name.  In conclusion, this allows us to verify that each petition signature is authentic - unique from the others.
