Lake George covers a vast area ranging 32 miles long with crystal-clear water that reaches 78ºF during July thru August and freezes over completely in January. Jet ski technology, in part, has contributed to the preservation of Lake George by noticeable reductions in emissions, including oil and unburned gasoline output into the lake.
