Since launching our original site in August 2002, Jet Skiing at Lake George has been collecting authentic electronic petition submissions from people just like you across the nation.  Those who submit are generally people that have either boated on Lake George or plan to do so in the future (although we encourage everyone to help!).

Our main goal is to prevent the proposed lake-wide ban of all jet craft (jet skis & jet boats) by collecting valid online petitions, educate the public on responsible jet skiing habits, and manifest an effective online community.  Subsequently, we have been successful in amassing over 390 authentic petitions with little to no advertising of our site.

Jet ski manufacturers have already implemented 4-stroke gasoline marine engines in models dating to the turn of the century.  Major manufacturers of personal watercrafts such as Sea·Doo, Yamaha, Honda, and Kawasaki have been successfully meeting 2006 EPA emission standards for over three years, continuing their pursuit of cleaner, quieter, and more gas-economical engines compared to both previous jet ski models and full size inboard/outboard vessels.

Independent studies on leading 2-stroke jet ski engines confirm that jet ski emissions from Sea·Doo's Rotax Fuel Injected (RFI) and direct-injection (DI) engines substantially reduce emissions and oil consumption compared to similarly equipped 2-stroke jet skis.

Finally, another common fact that the opposition ignores is the watercraft's enhanced sound reduction system.  Standard packages now include systems that utilize sound resonators engineered to the specific engine on board in order to drastically reduce sound output, improving ride quality for the driver, passengers, and more importantly - those on shore.
